“Empathy” is an emotional and heartfelt song by the renowned singers, “Crystal Castels” released in the year 2010. Crystal Castles was a Canadian electronic music group formed in 2006 by iconic songwriter & producer Ethan Kath and singer & songwriter Alice Glass.
The title of this song reminds me when I was asked by our medical Chief at the hospital to differentiate between “Empathy and sympathy.” I was a bit stucked before sharing my view on the difference.
With that said, this song highlights the importance of empathy, that is, being able to understand and feel what someone else is experiencing. Such like being on their shoes.
At the same time, it suggests how hard it can be to truly connect with others. It might reflect feelings of loneliness, isolation or the frustration of not being understood.
It’s all about the need for deeper understanding between people and the pain that can come from being misunderstood. Enjoy it!!!
